Can A New Kind of Hormone Replacement Therapy Restore Your Vitality?

Both men and women experience a loss of hormones as they grow older. This is a common fact ofhormone01 life.  As the body ages, fewer hormones are produced which can have a profound and negative effect on the body.

For women, the hormone imbalance caused by menopause can drastically and negatively affect feelings of well-being, libido, regulation of blood sugar, weight, rate of aging, strength and stamina, as well as your body’s ability to heal or fight infection.

For men, hormone imbalances may produce symptoms like erectile dysfunction, weight gain, loss of focus, lack of energy, depression, and muscle loss.

So how can one solve these hormone imbalance problems?

I work with many different types of anti-aging and hormone therapy methods. Given that hormones are so important to health and wellness, I offer several hormone solutions.

hormone02Hormone replacement therapy has long been used to treat hormone imbalances. However, a novel approach to this procedure, known as Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, is what I recommend to my patients.

According to Women to Women a popular women’s health website, “Bioidentical hormones are manufactured in the lab to have the same molecular structure as the hormones made by your own body. This makes them unlike synthetic hormones which are intentionally made to be different.”

Bioidentical Hormone replacement therapy can rebalance hormones, and has seen a great deal of success for patients across the world.

What is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Also known as BHRT, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy is the use of supplemental doses of hormones that have a chemical structure identical to the hormones that the human body naturally produces.

These Bioidentical Hormones are often produced at a compounding pharmacy. Patients receiving this treatment will have their own individual mix of hormones created specifically to help them rebalance their hormone levels.

How does BHRT work?

Hormone levels in the body may be altered by a variety of methods, such as creams, skin patches,hormone03 injections, and oral administration. Each patient works with their doctor to figure out the optimal method of delivery and dosage for that individual.

Just for menopause?

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy is most commonly used to treat symptoms associated with menopause. However, men can also help combat hormone imbalances caused by aging with BHRT. Physicians also work with men to design an individualized plan, which may include a combination of nutritional support, exercise, prescription supplements and bioidentical hormones.

Is BHRT safe?

Bioidentical Hormones are approved by the FDA. While evidence suggests that Bioidenticalhormone04 Hormones are not necessarily safer than traditional hormone replacement options, they are commonly accepted treatment options for hormone imbalances. The custom made and natural aspects of Bioidentical Hormones make them a very appealing option for patients in need of hormone replacement.

An excerpt from a review article by D. Moskowitz’s on the safety of Bioidentical Hormones  many physicians are finding BHRT both safe and effective. “As such, women and their physicians have, in increasing numbers, been opting for the use of bioidentical hormones; i.e., those that match the structure and function of hormones produced in the body. With greater utilization and research surrounding bioidentical hormones, the differences can now begin to be fully assessed and appreciated.”

Would Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Work For You?

In my practice, I have seen firsthand how hormone imbalance can negatively affect the lives of men and women. When I administer this therapy, I see amazing results where my patients feel better and happier almost immediately afterward.  Often, this is even true after months and months of patients not feeling like themselves.

I truly believe in this therapy. I would be happy to consult with patients to offer advice and see if Bioidentical Hormone Replacement would be a good course of action.
